We again plan to organise a series of 4 events this winter. This will be the 16th year since we held the first series in 2008. We lost the 4th fixture in 2019/20 due to the start of the pandemic, and we managed to hold a series the following but that was difficult due to the impact of the pandemic on our sports’ grass roots. The series had a reduced number of competitors, and as such the 2020/21 series lost money. SYCAA reluctantly decided that the entry fee will have to increase to cover the increasing costs of staging the series, but we believe that the increased costs still represent great value for money – as SY affiliated club competitors can compete in up to 3 events at each fixture for £4 per fixture (£5 per fixture for non South Yorkshire club athletes). The 2024/5 series costs will again be £16 for affiliated SY club athletes and £20 for non SY club athletes.
We hope that the series will again prove popular, and we look forward to seeing you all again this winter.
Please remember that you need to retain the issued number for all 4 fixtures in the series – or make a duplicate copy and bring that with you
The on line entry system opened on Thursday the 19th September, and is available via the link at the top rhs of the indoor series page.
Please also note that All participants (including athletes and athlete support personnel) in any licensed event are bound to UK Athletics’ anti-doping rules and must make themselves familiar with these rules.
