We are planning to again run the popular young athletes series – this is the 18th year that the series has happened
Athletes who are not members of South Yorkshire clubs can enter via the blue “On Line entry” button at the top rhs of the Indoor Series page. Payment is via Paypal. There will be a limited number of places (140) available on a first come first served basis.
Athletes who are members of South Yorkshire affiliated athletics clubs should obtain their number from their club.
All entrants need to be aware that EIS Sheffield now has a new parking control system. This uses an Automatic Number Plate Recognition system. Under the new parking arrangements, visitors receive 2.5 hours of free parking, after which the following charges apply based on the vehicle’s entry time, £5.00 for vehicles entering before 11:00am and £15.00 for vehicles entering after 11:00am.There is no “no-return policy”, meaning people can exit and re-enter multiple times. There is also street parking close to the venue and nearby park and rides. In terms of how visitors pay for parking, the process is as follows:
Session organisers and officials whose vehicle registrations have been provided to us in advance can be added to the exemption list and will not need to pay for parking
On arrival, visitors should enter their vehicle registration at reception to activate the 2.5 hours of free parking (this is only for customers staying up to 2.5 hours)
Anyone staying longer than 2.5 hours will need to download the Evology App and pay that way. Please note they need to do this as soon as they arrive
Those who have taken part in the series before will be familiar with how it all works, but for anyone new who wishes to enter the series, once you have entered and paid, you willl be on the entry list and can compete and collect your numbers when you turn up to compete. Please note that you only get one set of two numbers (one work front and one back) and need to retain & bring those to each fixture. We will email out to explain in more detail how it all works and also ask you to declare which events (3 maximum) that your athlete wishes to compete in.
We have also changed the age groups this year to fit in with the newly introduced age groups. Please note that England Athletics (EA) have advised that ALL athletes (including U12s) mus be registered with EA to be able to compete.
