The Rotherham Safety Advisory Group, at their meeting on the 6th October, could not sanction the pilot event taking place. This was not because of any major concerns with the Risk Assessment or Event management plans , or that the course was on public land. It is simply that the South Yorkshire Region agreed and signed off a set of principles on Friday the 2nd Oct, the first and key one being that the current local rate of infection has to be low enough to allow the event to be granted consent.
Given the high levels of infection in South Yorkshire, consent was not given, but the SAG chair did say that they would happily consent to the event taking place once the infection rate had reduced and stabilised.
We therefore will have to re-shcedule when & if that happens.
