Good evening all,
I’m assuming the weather was pleasant up in Worsbrough. Can confirm we’ve had a nice, warm day here in central Southampton.
I have just a couple of outstanding issues from tonight’s results before we can get on to the good stuff:
- Finisher #307 does not appear to have been scanned, so if you can check these provisional results and see if any of your runners around the 46 minute finishing mark are missing and let me know.
- Hillsborough, I need details for runners #373 to #376 please.
Once everything’s sorted on those fronts, I should be able to finalise the draft results from tonight, as well as provide the team divisional and individual category standings after tonight, so everybody will know what they’re chasing ahead of Lodge Moor.
Once I’ve got the results done, I’ll chase up clubs for any details e.g. EA numbers missing for any of your runners.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: We will check ahead of fixture 4 that everybody is registered for this year with EA, either as a first claim member (including first claim other where they’re registered with you for road running), or a second claim member and their first claim club is both not in South Yorkshire and not otherwise competing in the league (e.g. Clowne may be in Derbyshire, but they count for this rule for the purposes of the league), and chase any issues up as much as we can ahead of the race. Affiliate/associate/social/non-competitive or whatever else your club calls this form of membership is not eligible. Please make sure you’ve get any memberships sorted on the portal BEFORE the race. If you have members who have transferred over but haven’t actually done the transfer process on the portal, BADGER THEM NOW. Then badger them again. Anyone who hasn’t had any issues sorted by the start of the race will be excluded, both from individual and team scoring; we had to remove someone who otherwise would have won their category two years ago. Don’t make Sir Keith deploy the ban hammer again.
If you have anyone who wants to run race 4 who is not yet registered, can you pleace get their details over to me ahead of the race, ideally by the Sunday so we can check their registrations as well.
QUALIFICATION: To qualify for individual categories, runners must have run at least two of the first three races and MUST run race 4. Your score is your two best results from 1 to 3 and then race 4, with any ties being broken by the final result. So long as they’re properly registered, a runner can score for your team at any race, no matter how many of them they run. Men’s teams are your top 6 finishers, women’s are top 4.
Any issues or queries otherwise, let me know.
Cheers,
Chris
