The first event is hosted by Rotherham, at Herringthorpe stadium on the evening of Friday 5th July; and a meeting organised by Hallamshire Harriers on Friday the 30th August at Woodbourn Road.

The events are ONLY open to members of the five track and field clubs affiliated to SYCAA;

To be able to participate those SYCAA clubs, whose athletes compete, have to each provide 2 field officials, 1 track official and one timekeeper for the two fixtures.

The plan is to have entry and event declaration organised in the same way that the SY Indoor Series is organised eg athletes would pay £8 for a number and that number will enable each athlete to do up to 3 events maximum at each fixture. The plan will be to start at 6pm and end before 9pm.

The clubs would issue the numbers, submit the event declarations, and pay SYCAA for the numbers issued and sold. Athletes can enter and get their numbers from their club coaches / team managers. We are asking all who compete to confirm thier entries with their clubs before Weds the 3rd July for the first fixture.

It is planned to offer the following track events at both fixtures:-

70m /75m Hurdles U13

75m U11

100m U13

150m U11

200m U13

600m U11

800m U13

(Limited) Field events will be:-

Long Jump and javelin for both U11 & U13 at Fixture 1

Long Jump & javelin for both U11 & U13 at Fixture 2.

The programme will have one male / female group doing track while the other does field, and vice versa.

The events are licenced by England Athletics

EventLicence-3Download

Following the failure to secure enough track officials to run a full SYCAA Outdoor T&F Series, this is an outline of two events to provide some limited track & field competition, primarily for the U11 age group (who have been

[1

post-282","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
