We again plan to organise a series of 4 events this winter. This will be the 15th year since we held the first series in 2008. We lost the 4th fixture in 2019/20 due to the start of the pandemic, and we managed to hold a series last year; but that was difficult due to the impact of the pandemic on our sports’ grass roots. The series had a reduced number of competitors, and as such the 2020/21 series lost money. SYCAA reluctantly decided that the entry fee will have to increase to cover the increasing costs of staging the series, but we believe that the increased costs still represent great value for money – as SY affiliated club competitors can compete in up to 3 events at each fixture for £4 per fixture (£5 per fixture for non South Yorkshire club athletes). The series costs will be £16 for affiliated SY club athletes and £20 for non SY club athletes.
We hope that the series will again prove popular, and we look forward to seeing you all again this winter.
The on line entry system is planned to open on Friday the 15th September, and will be available via the link at the top rhs of the indoor series page.
